Board of Directors and Officers
Activities of the Board of Directors
- Oversees the work of CfAS;
- Establishes priorities for CfAS projects and initiatives, and coordinates Partner participation in CfAS projects;
- Disseminates information on CfAS activities to CfAS Partners and Associates, including producing a newsletter, The Synthetic Report at least twice annually;
- Coordinates synthesis activities with the University of Colorado’s Center for Collaborative Synthesis in Archaeology (CCSA);
- Aids fund-raising for CfAS programs and operations;
- Sponsors synthesis working group research efforts and workshops as funding is available;
- Appoints the nominating committee that proposes slates of candidates for Officer and Board positions and establishes and appoints other committees and task forces to aid in accomplishing the Mission of CfAS; and
- Sets annual partner dues and manages the CfAS budget.
